Up Coming Information
I hope you are all well rested and ready to begin the final trimester of the 2007 - 2008 school year.
During the first week back from break, you will be taking the CTP4 test. This test will take both class periods.
Don't forget to turn in your permission slip for the field trip on March 19th at the Lycee. We will be watching a child labor video sponsored by the Human Rights Committee. We will be meeting at the Lycee flagpoles at 8:25am and you will need to be picked up at noon.
We are still trying to reorganize the trip to the Cluny Museum and the Institute du Arabe. At this point, we will most likely be going in April.
Also, you should begin researching your persona for the Medieval Banquet Project. I will give you more information about the project after break. FYI - Your persona paper is due the week before Spring Break.
Lycee Students-
Please, see me to set up an advisory appointment.

While I am at MUN . . .
Roby
I know many of you will be on the ski trip the day of class, but you are still responsible to complete the Medieval Review Sheet and the map. All of you should have the map by now and Arianne said she would give all of you who were absent the review sheet.
Please, be ready for the Medieval Test on February 6th and have the completed map and review sheet with you too.
Lycee
While I am away, you will be completing a lesson about the differences between life in a medieval village and a town. You will do this the first hour of class and will then do the review sheet and map the second hour of class.
Your test is scheduled for February 8. Thsi date may changes, however. It depends on the field trip that we are still organizing. I will let you know.

American Day (Lycee)
Lycee -
This Friday, January 11, is American Day. That means that your entire presentation must be ready to go by the time our first class meets at 9:50am.
We will meet in room #311 and then I will direct you and your "teacher" (myself, Mr. Lynch or Mrs. Hamery) to the appropriate room.
If you realize you need anything or if you need my help in any way, please let me know. Feel free to email me or drop me a note in my mailbox.
michelesilvestri@yahoo.com
See you Friday!!!!!
Extra Credit
Though protected by the USA Constitution, some Amerincas have been discriminated against and/or even persecuted because of their religious choice.
For extra credit, find a current event article in the USA where religious choice was not so "free". In other words, find a case in the USA where someone was discriminated and/or persecuted because of their religious choice.
Write a summary of the article. Be sure to explain how their first amendment right was violated.
